It’s 30+ here in Vancouver and that means AC shortages and forest fires. AKA it is time to bring out the summer clothes.

But for some reason they don’t fit like they used to. The waistband feels tighter. Is it just me or do my legs look more like trapped sausages than ever before? I also don’t recall the skin under my arms ever chafing?

What I have noticed this summer more than any summer before is that my body has significantly changed. And there are so many reasons behind this change. Whether it’s because of going off birth control, being on anti-depressants, having less anxiety ( & therefore a better appetite) or working out for pleasure rather than pain, these life choices have improved me for the better. And if my weight is something that changes as a result of something good, why do I instantly start googling weight loss tips and summer diets?

I obviously want to feel good in my body and I do have plans to become stronger and more toned, but I don’t want my body changes to ever take over my entire life again. There is too much fun to be had.

Therefore, I wanted to dedicate this blog post to the people out there who have grown out of their clothes, despise jean shorts, and want to make comfy AND sustainable fashionable purchases rather than following trends. This is a post to help YOU FEEL GOOD AGAIN.
