Well I can’t say summer has arrived here in Vancouver 🌧, but we can do our best to be prepared! If you are reading this from somewhere warm & sunny, please send good wishes our way! In today’s blog, I am sharing with you my favourite swimwear of 2022.
I consider swimwear one of my love languages, as if that’s really a surprise to anyone. When I put on a swimsuit, my body feels like a delicious snackkk that deserves to be seen & celebrated. Even on bad body image days, a swimsuit reminds me that my body is unwaveringly allowed to be here. (Side note, does anyone else sniff sunscreen so their brain lights up with thoughts of the ocean, sand, and hot bois?? No just me? Okay 😅.)
To celebrate my favourite time of the year, below are my top 10 swimwear picks for 2022. These are swimsuits I either already own, plan to own, or know you will love!

I have tried my absolute best to share swimwear companies that are sustainable to our earth and feature fabrics that are longer-lasting & eventually can be recycled. Thankfully, it is becoming a-lot easier to find brands that focus their efforts on using eco-friendly materials such as: plastic from the ocean, ECONYL ®️ (recycled nylon), recycled polyester, & REPREVE ®️ to create their lines.
I also tried to ensure the brands shared had a decent plus-size range, but sustainability & plus-size options have a long way to go. Remember, before adding any new items to your cart, always make sure to research the company to avoid being caught up in greenwashing. Of course, the most sustainable option is to wear what is already in your closet.

A new launch from the Frankies Bikinis X Gigi Hadid collab, The Fawn Ruffle features cheeky coverage and a low-back. Although a less sustainable option, I personally believe this suit can be worn from the beach to the bar, getting the most possible wears. Additionally, the proper care of nylon can make a suit last longer so it will stick by your side for some time. Frankies Bikinis is made locally in the US.
